After discovering a natural talent for painting at a young age, its been a long journey experimenting with the art process as a primordial language of expression. I have always been fascinated with the depth that such a visual expression can convey, a depth which can touch the viewer both with intimacy or severity.
I studied at various Art Institutions earlier on, followed by a long phase of 'unlearning', I then found my own voice as an artist, my own method and means to share my ideas. As my journey continues I feel the core principles of sincerity and authenticity strengthening, new inspiration constantly beckons my art practice into new and unfamiliar territories, which can be exciting, yet intimidating.
I like to paint nature, there is a quietness, an intense aliveness , it is a mystery that is hard to fathom and therefore is a bountiful source of inspiration, yet it teaches humility . When observing nature I see realism as much as I see the surreal nature of things, my process is a balance of external observation and inner inspiration, embracing references that reflect this deep inner arcane nature.
